  • What makes you people think you're special? LGBT civilian workers are denied basic civil rights in as many as 35 states if you're transgender and MSNBC never reports on that either. Their corporate overlords at Exxon-Mobil and Comcast won't allow it as it might cut into their endless profit stream.

  • Leave it to Melissa Harris-Perry, the only TRMS guest I've ever seen proactively insert an on-air mention of transgender people into a relevant discussion on the show, to bring up this great analogy, one I've used on-air myself.

Not only is Rachel MSNBC's only (as far as I know) lesbian and gender-variant host, she's also got the #1 show on the network. This is exactly the right place for this kind of debate and discussion.

  • I wish I agreed, GR, but history teaches us otherwise. When the trans vs HRC/Democratic Party battle was raging in '07, with protests all over the country against excluding transpeople from ENDA, and with coverage from many mainstream media, MSNBC never covered it.
